
As President and Director of Wealth Management, Matt is responsible for the creation and execution of our firm's business strategy. He ensures that the proper resources are allocated to the people, technology, and systems that allow us to serve our clients. In his role as a financial advisor, he oversees the development and implementation of all financial strategies for the firm's individual and corporate clients.
From May 1996 to November 2001, Matt served as an Associate Vice President at Morgan Stanley in Columbus, Ohio. In November 2001 he joined Smith Barney, holding the positions of Vice President of Wealth Management and Senior Investment Management Specialist until May 2009. In 2000, Matt earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, reflecting completion of a rigorous program of professional study and examination. Matt holds the Series 7, 24, 31, 63, and 65 securities licenses and the Life & Health insurance license.
Matt is a 1996 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a Minor in Economics. In 2005, he graduated as class valedictorian from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with a Master of Business Administration. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
A native of Galena, Ohio, Matt continues to live in his hometown with his wife, Tricia, and their four children. Locally, he is a member of St. Paul Parish, the Young Professionals of Columbus and The Columbus Metropolitan Club. He coaches his sons' soccer teams and enjoys playing soccer himself. His wide-ranging interests also include fly fishing, golf, music and martial arts.
